Shaun and Kerry

Two hearts,
one adventure

"From the beaches of Perth to the vineyards of the Winelands — the best is still to come."

Shaun and Kerry found in each other something rare — a home away from home, and a partner for every adventure. Bound together by their South African roots and the life they've built in Western Australia, they've laughed through the waves, raised a glass to the sunsets, and said yes to a lifetime together.

Now they're coming full circle, back to their roots, back to the place they both carry in their hearts, to celebrate with the people they love most. This is their story — and you're part of it.

Two days of celebration

Join us for a full weekend of joy, great wine, and even better company in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

Arrival & Welcome

Guests are welcome to arrive at the estate. Settle in, explore the vineyards, and get comfortable.

Please be seated by 3:30 pm. The ceremony will be held outdoors at The Tributary, Plaisir Wine Estate.

Mingle amongst the vines as the sun begins its descent over the Simonsberg. Plaisir wines, of course.

Dinner, speeches, and dancing beneath the stars. Smart elegant — think Winelands evening chic.

Late

Dance the Night Away

The night is ours. The bar is open. The music is on. Let's celebrate.

Plaisir Wine Estate

Nestled at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain between Paarl and Franschhoek, Plaisir de Merle is one of the most storied wine estates in the Cape Winelands. Established in 1693, it spans nearly 1,000 hectares of lush vineyards, manicured lawns, and ancient oak trees.

The Tributary

Ceremony & Reception Venue

Our wedding will take place at The Tributary — an intimate and exquisite setting on the estate, surrounded by vineyards and framed by the Simonsberg mountains. Both dramatic and deeply romantic.

Dress Code

Smart Elegant (Wedding) · Smart Casual (Braai)

Wedding: Smart elegant — think garden party chic meets Winelands evening. Ladies: formal dresses or elegant jumpsuits. Gentlemen: suits or smart trousers with jacket. Please keep heels practical for uneven terrain.

Braai: Smart casual — relaxed and comfortable, but dressed up. The evening will be outdoors so bring a light layer.

Weather

March in the Cape Winelands

Late summer in South Africa — expect warm, sunny days (around 28°C) and mild evenings. A light wrap for after sunset is always a good idea.

Good to know

What is the dress code?+

Wedding (Saturday): Smart elegant. Think garden party chic meets Winelands evening. Ladies: floor-length or midi formal dresses or elegant jumpsuits. Gentlemen: suits or smart trousers with jacket. The venue is on a wine estate — practical heels or flats are recommended for uneven terrain.

Braai (Friday): Smart casual. Think relaxed but polished — a nice dress, jeans and a blouse, chinos and a shirt. We'll be outdoors so bring a layer for the evening.

Can I bring children?+

We love your little ones, but we've chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening fully. We appreciate your understanding and hope this gives you a wonderful excuse for a night out!

Will there be transport between the venue and accommodation?+

We're looking into shuttle options from key accommodation areas to the estate and back. More details will follow closer to the date. In the meantime, Uber and Bolt operate in the Winelands, or consider designating a driver in your group. Please don't drink and drive.

Is there parking at the venue?+

Yes, Plaisir Wine Estate has ample on-site parking available for guests who are driving or being dropped off.

What if the weather isn't great?+

March is one of the best months in the Cape Winelands — warm, dry, and stunning. That said, the Cape can be unpredictable and we'll have contingency plans in place. A light cardigan or wrap is always a good idea for the evening.

Do you have a gift registry?+

Your presence is truly the greatest gift. If you'd like to contribute something, we'd love help building our experiences together — a contribution to our honeymoon fund would be warmly received. Details to follow.
